Local Philadelphia blogger La Phemme Phoodie revealed yesterday that come this weekend, July 24 and 25, canners across the nation will celebrate the art of ”putting food up” by attending a Canning Across America event or hosting their own canning party.
In preparation, the local resident signed up for a canning class with Marisa McClellan of Food in Jars, and also brushed up on as much knowledge as possible, via several appropriate books like Well-Preserved by Eugenia Bone and Put ‘Em Up by Sherri Brooks Vinton.
Will you too join the canvolution?
