  • After one terrible dining experience, we thought we would give it another try. The menu was very limited and over-priced, the service was ok, but the food was just as bad as the last time, and way over-priced. Raw sausage, runny omelette for my wife and on top of all things the edges of my scrapple were burnt to an inedible crust. Yikes … NEVER AGAIN !!

FYI- We visited Nudy’s in Downingtown on Feb 1st. I ordered the bagel with salmon, tomato, onion, cucomber , etc. I have ordered something similar to this at other restaurants several times. The idea of it is to build a bagel sandwich using all the ingredients. My order came with just a few thin strands of onion and several cucumber slices, each about 1/2 inch thick , too thick to put on the sandwich. I spoke to the waitress and she said ” I didn’t make the sandwich, I only order it.” Well I realize that. I asked her to bring some thin cucumber slices and a nice size slice of a “whole onion.” She did bring the thin cucumber slices – but also a large piece of the outer skin of a red onion. This is the part of the onion that should be thrown out. I told her that I thought it was almost an insult to serve something like that and to tell that to the chef in the kitchen. I don’t think she did – and I never received a proper slice of onion. So – I recommend that you instruct the people in the kitchens who prepare the plate how to prepare the cucumbers and onion slices. The plate did come with some generous pieces of salmon however. Incidentally – my wife and I write a restaurant review article in our community newsletter.

  • Loved the atmosphere! Great pancakes! Will breakfast here again soon!
